Foxes Bow Whiskey Release 1 is a classic, straight up blended Irish whiskey - aged in Bourbon barrels and finished in Oloroso and Rye casks - a highly novel mix of finishes in Irish whiskey, making for a layered, yet well balanced whiskey. Usually favoured by American and Canadian Whiskies, the inclusion of rye casks in the whiskey’s finish lends a floral bouquet to the whiskey’s nose, while providing an interesting lingering spice to the palette. Beginning with a burst of fruity sherry flavours, followed by a wave of spice and perfectly finished with a lingering velvety vanilla sweetness. Release 1 has no added colouring and is non chill filtered. That all sounds fancy, but this is an unfussy quality whiskey inspired by an unfussy quality place. Caravelle is named for the sailing ship used for long voyages of exploration in the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries, and for Presqu’ile de Caravelle, the wild and lush natural reserve in Martinique.

Following the fight for freedom from the Crown at the battle of Kinsale, 1601, seeking aid from allies in Spain, Red Hugh O Donnell, Earl of Tyrconnell, was murdered by an Anglo-Irish double agent & buried near Rioja.

Red Earl Irish Whiskey, a tribute to his story, is first aged in bourbon, then sherry and finally matured in Rioja casks. Triple-casking delivers roundness of flavour, lengthy finish & an exceptional aroma.
