The Writers Tears Rare Bottle Bundle

This is a special, limited edition, collector’s bottling of Writers’ Tears – Copper Pot expression to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the 1922 publication of James Joyce’s novel, Ulysses. The design of the bottling features a well-known location and chapter from Ulysses.

Writers’ Tears – Copper Pot is a rare blend of Single Pot Still and Single Malt whiskeys. It is inspired by the golden era of Irish whiskey, pot still distillation and the creative thinkers and artists that define Irish culture, particularly those of the 19^th and 20^th centuries.

Walsh Whiskey have unveiled a first for Irish whiskey with the creation of an Icewine finished whiskey. Writers’ Tears – Icewine Cask Finish has been produced in collaboration with Inniskillin Winery in Niagara, Ontario, Canada’s original estate winery and leading producer of icewine.

The limited-edition release of 3,500 bottles is a unique triple-distilled vatting of Single Pot Still & Single Malt whiskeys, has been finished for an additional 12 months in icewine hogsheads, before being bottled at 46% ABV.

The first Single Pot Still expression from Writers Tears has arrived! Single Pot Still whiskey has always been at the heart of Writers’ Tears as it weaves a tale between distiller & scribe. This chapter of Writers’ Tears is pure Single Pot Still, 100% Barley, 3 times distilled and beautifully balanced by Bourbon, Marsala and PX casks, layering sweetness with depth of colour and flavour. Expect velvety dessert-like qualities of PX Sherry, finishing with a light chewiness.
