1848 Apple Brandy
The 1848 Tricolour Celebration commemorates the flying of the Irish national flag for the first time.
In 1848 the Irish tricolour was gifted to Thomas Francis Meagher by a group of French rebels sympathetic to Irish nationalism. This flag symbolises unification and brotherhood in Ireland.
1848 Apple Brandy combines the best of France’s Calvados from Chateau du Breuil with Boann’s unique triple-distilled apple brandy. French and Irish apples unite harmoniously in this special historical blend.
Blend: 45% 8yo Calvados, 35% 3yo Calvados matured in French oak barrels, and 20% triple-distilled Irish Apple Brandy aged in Bourbon barrels. Like in 1848, two great nations have come together again to create a fine spirit commemorating a great moment in Irish – French history.
