Husband and wife, and Founders of The Shed Distillery, PJ and Denise Rigney, and their team of distillers laid down the first whiskey in Connacht in over 101 years.

The Shed Distillery sits on the shores of Lough Allen, and at the foot of Sliabh an Iarainn. Pj Rigney wanted the location for his distillery to be a place of curiosity and inspiration, and surrounded by nature, completely immersed in rich Irish history. 

The Shed’s 5 gleaming pot stills were especially made by Arnold Holstein in Germany and brought over to Drumshanbo. 3 are focused on Irish Whiskey, 2 on Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin and 2 copper column stills, for Sausage Tree Pure Irish Vodka.
