Achill Island Single Pot Still

Achill Island Single Pot Still is the brand new release from Achill Distillery. This single pot still has been created from a mash bill of equal parts malted and unmalted barley with 5% oats. The whiskey is then aged in first fill bourbon casks and finished for a futher 18 months in Olorosso Sherry Casks.
This gives the finished product the classic velvety smooth mouth feel, with peaches and cream on entry. This develops into a richer stone fruit flavour with a delightfully sweet finish.
