Clonakilty 14 Year Old Single Grain Amontillado Finish is the latest addition to the Clonakilty Cask Finish Series. This Single Grain is matured in ex-Bourbon casks and finished in ex-Amontillado casks from the Montilla region in Spain. The use of ex-bourbon cask give the classic aromatic oak spices which intertwine with rich caramel and toffee notes, accented by hint of toasted nuts. The use of ex-Amontillado casks give a smooth sweetness of salted caramel & butterscotch is perfectly balanced with subtle notes of walnut and cinnamon, leading to a delicate finish of caramelised nuts.
