Both Ger and Denis were trawlermen off the coast of West Cork for many years before beginning a journey in 2003 that would build West Cork Distillers into Irelands largest Irish owned independent distillery employing 150 people in Skibbereen, West Cork.
Born from a conversation with the remaining founder John O’Connell in which he recalled vintage glass fishing-floats, the three founders set about designing a masterfully crafted custom-blown spherical bottle with an off centre spout which would aid a smoother pour of whiskey
