The competition is widely regarded as the preeminent and most influential spirits competition in the world, so the medal is a great achievement and rare honour.

Platinum is only awarded to a very few select spirits that are awarded a Double Gold medal for three consecutive years, an achievement that Wild Atlantic Irish Whiskey IPA has celebrated in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
