Aqua Vitae Batch 4

A recreation by Off The Cuffe of a 700 year old recipe for Aqua Vitae. This recipe was created by Richard De Ledrede, the Bishop of Ossory, in Kilkenny circa 1324 and is the first written record of a grain distillate in Ireland. Aqua Vitae translates from Latin as “water of life” and was first intended as an internal and topical cure all. Believed to be the first form of whiskey and the precursor to Whiskey as we know it today. This herbaceous spirit drink can be described as “Christmas in a glass”. Although a fantastic straight drink, this spirit mixes brilliantly with others due to its high level of flavour and dry spicy finish.

Dingle Gin Beautiful Botanical Gift Pack

Dingle Gin Beautiful Botanical Gift Pack

Dingle Gin is produced in The Dingle Distillery, situated on the edge of the scenic coastal town of Dingle on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Its unique flavour profile is a result of its supply of locally foraged botanicals from its surrounding County Kerry landscape that include rowanberry from the mountain ash trees, fuchsia, bog myrtle, hawthorn and heather.

The Dingle Gin Gift Pack is an exclusive collaboration with fellow family owned, independent Irish brand, Off the Cuffe Irish Bitters who have created an exclusive alcoholic bitter, inspired by the breath-taking sunrises over Dingle.
