This is a very special, limited edition mead made from 100% Irish summer wildflower honey from The Chanting Bee Apiary in West Cork. This honey is a lovely expression of the aromas and flavors of West Cork.
Tasting Notes: This elegant mead is a true expression of a traditional Irish, handcrafted, semi-sweet mead, full of the flavours of the west Cork hedgerows and finished 11% ABV.
Serve: Pale gold in colour, delicate in its finish, it is best served on its own lightly chilled allowing the soft honeyed notes to linger.

A gorgeous 3-year-old traditional mead fermented from orange blossom honey, matured for the last 12 months in a French oak wine barrel to add intriguing structure and depth.
A fine, unique mead with lingering almond and refreshing citrus notes. Enticing with a bright, clean finish and a lovely balance of sweetness and acidity.

A gorgeous 3-year-old traditional mead crisp and honeyed, matured for the last 12 months in a Portuguese White Port barrel to add spicy oak depth. 12% ABV.
Tasting Notes:
A rich and peppery, well-balanced mead with a mellow apricot character, rounded with honey and citrus aromas on the finish. Subtle with delicate citrus on the nose, spicy on the palate, lots of honey and amaretto with oak, smooth, stone fruit character and nuttiness resonating on the palate. Finished dry with a lovely balance of sweetness and zesty acidity.

A gorgeous 3 year-old berry mead fermented off dry and silky smooth and matured for the last 12 months in French Merlot wine barrels to add intriguing structure and depth. Off Dry, 12% ABV Winner of Drink of the Year from the Irish Food Writers’ Guild 2021.
Tasting Notes:
An exceptional, unique mead, lively and attractive with a decadent richness. Enticing and warm, juicy with bright red and black fruit flavours from
the Wexford blackcurrants and dark, sweet cherries, well balanced with attractive honey notes from the forest honey and caramel from the Bordeaux oak barrels. A luxurious, smooth texture with a fruity burst that explodes on the palate, soft low tannins and a clean finish.

Kinsale Hazy Summer Mead (11% ABV) is a fabulous, fruity, off-dry berry mead with generous strawberry and raspberry aromas, a lovely burst of summer berries and a smooth, subtle honey finish.
Perfect served lightly chilled on its own or in a sharing jug with ice and frozen berries. Like a glass of summer in any weather. This deliciously light and fruity melomel mead is a refreshing alternative to a light red or rosé wine. It is fermented from pure honey muddled with a tumble of ripe summer berries with almost no sweetness. Popular with cocktail mixers and beer and gin drinkers.
Like Kinsale Mead Co’s other meads, Hazy Summer Mead is made at Ireland’s first meadery in 200 years in the historic and food-loving town of Kinsale on the Wild Atlantic Way in West Cork. The awards came in fast for this intriguing re-imagining of an ancient drink and it has won Gold at Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards and Gold at the International Mazer Cup.
Kinsale Wild Red Mead is a gorgeous melomel mead fermented off-dry with Irish blackcurrants, dark cherries and pure honey. An amazingly enticing drink with a beautiful, rich colour. It is delicious served at room temperature on its own or with food. The Wexford blackcurrants are beautifully balanced with the dark cherries, tempered over the hint of honey and matured to a silky smooth finish.
A popular choice with wine drinkers who prefer a smoother style. Melomel Fruit Meads were Ireland’s medieval red wines made from native wild berries and raw honey and now created anew at Kinsale Mead Co’s meadery in West Cork.
