For the Irishman Cask Strength release each year, Bernard Walsh selects a handful of exceptional casks to make this the benchmark for Super Premium Cask Strength Irish Whiskey. The 2018 release is aged in hand selected American Oak Casks and is available in strictly limited quantities with just 3,716 bottles produced. Highly rated in Jim Murray’s Whiskey bible at 94.5 points, this is a superb expression of Irish Whiskey not to be missed.

This is a classic Irish Malt, triple distilled and aged in Oak Bourbon and Olorosso Sherry Casks to give exceptional flavor and complexity. Each batch is limited to a maximum of 6,000 bottles. The first blend from Bernard Walsh of Walsh Whiskey Distillery and boy is it a good one. The Irishman is made up of 70% Single Malt and 30% Single Pot Still and contains no inferior grain whiskeys. An unusual and unique blend which is matured in bourbon casks.
The exceptional casks used for this annual vintage are hand-selected by The Irishman’s founder, Bernard Walsh. Each year offers a completely new distillation and vintage to explore. The 2023 vintage is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 55.3% ABV.
