An exciting single malt release from Blackwater won Gold at the Irish Whiskey Masters 2022. Matured solely in Bordeaux red wine casks for 5 years! This maturation process gives the whiskey a wonderfully ruddy colour and a delightful scent of freshly baked red currant madeleines.

Gold winner at the Irish Whiskey Masters 2022! This special release is made with turf-dried malt and then aged in sherry casks. As you can imagine, these combined give this single malt from Blackwater a wonderfully gentle palate of peat smoke and biscuity malt tempered with a hint of Jerez. Overall, a well-balanced drop to be savoured.
