The Teeling 26 Year Old Gold Reserve is a double distilled Irish Single Malt made in 1987. It spent all of its life sitting in ex-bourbon casks before being allowed to marry in white Burgundy wine casks to provide a truly unique taste. Volume V of Teeling's Revival series is a 12 year old single malt Irish whiskey initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. It has been finished in Cognac and brandy barrels to give it an intensely fruity and refreshing taste, it's then bottled at 46% ABV. A limited release of 15,000 bottles was launched in 2018.
Matured in a pair of ex American oak bourbon barrels and bottled by Teeling after a whopping 33 years, this limited release of just 275 bottles sure is impressive.
